About

Warm home studio with fine art prints leaning against a wall and soft daylight from a side window.

The print comes off the paper tray a shade warmer than it looked on screen, and it's right: the mist sitting low between the trees, the greens holding. You prop it against the wall and look at it for a minute. Then you open Shopify, and the evening goes somewhere else.

Three sizes. Oak, black or unframed, with a border or without. That's eighteen prices before you've written a word, and somewhere around the ninth you lose your place. The room mockups still need alt text. The gallery is in the wrong order. The title you wrote last week for the last piece says something slightly different from the one you're typing now. It's ten o'clock, and the thing you made still isn't for sale.

Three framed copies of the same misty forest print leaning against a studio wall in evening light: large in an oak frame, medium in a black frame and a small print with a white border, beside a desk and lamp.

We know that evening. We've spent more long nights than we'd like to admit typing the same sizes into a grid, trying to write descriptions that didn't all sound the same, and fitting listings in between everything else, family included. Somewhere along the way we decided there had to be a better way, and that we wanted some of that time back.

Most of it wasn't creative. All of it needed care, which is why it was so tiring. And it was the same job every time: the same sizes, the same frames, the same prices, typed out again for each new piece. That kind of work is exactly what a good workflow should hold for you.

What we built

So we built Atelier Ready, a Shopify app for art sellers, around that evening. Your images, words and product options sit in one guided place. Your sizes, frames, borders and prices are saved once, and so is your brand voice. The next piece starts from what you decided last time instead of a blank page, which is how a catalogue ends up looking like one person made it. Missing prices and mismatched details are flagged before anything reaches your shop.

When it's ready, it goes to Shopify as an unpublished draft. A listing that used to eat the evening becomes a review: read it through, change a word, send it. A full listing typically uses about two suggestions, and anything you write or edit by hand costs none.

Why it matters to us

The listing is the first thing a stranger reads about a piece you spent weeks on, so it deserves to sound like you. That's why the words stay yours: every suggestion is optional, every one can be edited or ignored, and you can write the whole listing by hand. Nothing goes live until you publish it. Your artwork stays yours, and it isn't used to train AI models.

Good work shouldn't sit in a folder because the admin got there first.

Not on your own

Most people selling art on Shopify work alone, with nobody to compare notes with about frame pricing or what belongs in a description. We'd like to be a small, useful corner of that. The how-tos in our Guides are written to help whether or not you ever install the app, and if something in the workflow gets in your way, tell us at support@atelierready.com. A person reads it.

Try it on your own images when you're ready: a 7-day free trial, drafts only, with plans billed through Shopify. Start at atelierready.com.
